Newberry Renewable Energy Project

Jan 2016

NOVI Energy is developing a biomass fueled, 24-30 MW power plant to be located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This project is being developed with support from local governments, local community and regional forest products businesses. NOVI has established the technical and financial feasibility for this power project.

NOVI worked with the Luce County Economic Development Corporation to negotiate a site option contract. The site has significant acreage with excellent access to electric transmission lines, highway, and a railway. Water will be supplied from an on-site well.

NOVI is currently seeing power offtake contracts from this new, greenfield project.
